Such a cool idea--it works, too!

Recently I came across this idea, and decided to try it myself. It works!
Save the white parts at the bottom of green onions  (you know, that have the little white roots on them) and put them in a couple of inches of water. New green stalks will grow. How cool is that? I had three little ends left last week, so I put them in this jar of water on the window will. They've grown almost 3 inches in a week. Cool!

You and I must see the same things on Pinterest. I did this too, right before I left to visit the grandbabies for a week. Came home yesterday and mine are about 3 inches tall too!

you are so right! It was pinterest, but I wasn't a member yet, just browsing samples...I didn't save the link and couldn't give credit where it was due. It was pretty exciting to harvest my new sprouts this morning!
