This morning the girls and I went through the house we're looking to buy, while our inspector was doing his 2 hour tour of duty there. Jim had work meetings and couldn't be there. But no worries, the inspector will answer any of his questions. Anyway, as part of our offer we're asking the owners to have the carpet cleaned before we move in. Today I was remarking to the girls that the carpet (a nice, neutral, dark Berber) actually looked pretty good. One of the girls said, "Well it should, did you notice the sign on the door?" I hadn't . . . but here it is! Gotta love Pennsyltucky:)

Progress and Pictures
On Tuesday the appraiser and an inspector went through our existing home with a fine tooth comb. The inspector and the new-owner-to-be were here for 3 hours! We'll see what comes of that. We've already told the realtor that we won't be putting any money into changes or repairs to this house. It's only 6 years old, and everything works fine. Word on the street is that the inspectors try to find stuff, so that the buyers feel they're getting their money's worth out of the inspection.

And here's a view of the rear of the house, taken from near the back of the lot. The lot is about 115' wide by over 400' deep. Beautiful!
