Boxes, boxes, everywhere

Things have been moving right along over the past couple of weeks. We close on both properties on October 22nd. We will sign the paperwork to sell this house at 2 p.m. and then sign the purchasing paperwork on the other house at 4. So we'll be technically homeless for an hour or two in between.

All appraisals, surveys, inspections, etc. are progressing on schedule with no glitches or surprises. Today we rented 2 storage units very close to the new house. We'll be moving things in there gradually over the next 3 weeks, to make our actual moving day as stress-free as possible. And we're taking bags and boxes of things to Salvation Army, and selling stuff on Craigslist. It really feels great to be lightening the load.

It seems that fall has finally arrived in southwestern Pennsylvania . . . so refreshing to have temperatures in the 70's with cooler evenings. Woo hoo!
